Business

Formed in 1999, Chris started iPerspectives Internet Solutions with Philipp zu Putlitz. This partnership proved to be very interesting and as clients started to materialize over the coming months, iPerspectives began to grow to having over 12 development clients in the first 6 months!

2000 saw continued growth and expansion into ecommerce websites and into the US market as well, obtaining clients as far south as Los Angeles, having face to face meetings with these clients was really exciting as business travel always is for 2 20 year olds! 2001 saw very large developments for the company. At the request of one of our partner media companies in Europe, we traveled to work alongside them for 3 months in Germany. Working with their team proved to be quite an educational experience and making new clients for ourselves in the European market also proved to be quite a large opportunity and quite successful as well. The last half of 2001 saw iPerspectives join forces with another Hosting/Domain registration company based out of Kelowna.

Starting with re-developing their own website, working with this company proved to be quite profitable in theory as we did have access to their entire client base for proposals and development work. The end of 2001 saw the largest growth yet for our company.

2002 saw our entire operation move to be dependant on this partnership. Working together in one office always ensured we would be busy with internal projects, small development work for clients all across the US and Canada and large ecommerce portals as well.

While working with the clients was great, working under the umbrella of another company was not. It soon became unworkable as they insisted on us meeting their criteria, rather than the clients wishes and also demanding too much in commissions as well.

By 2003 we were independent again, with a new following of clients as well. At the beginning of the year we launched our own hosting service to meet our clients needs Continuing to move towards more sustainable income based on ongoing maintenance and hosting, our work became more steady rather than spiking, this provided stability and steady work that we had not seen before.

2004 was all about expansion of our hosting efforts, with more and more of our income dependant on maintenance and hosting vs one time development projects, this year proves to be one of continued growth and steady income from hosting and our regular clientele. Having our headquarters moved to Vancouver also has assisted us with more of a large center as home base gets more local clientele on board as well.
